Centre Transfers ₹171 Crore to Jammu & Kashmir Farmers Under PM-Kisan Scheme.

In a significant move to support disaster-affected farmers in Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare released the 21st installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme in advance. A total of ₹171 crore has been directly transferred into the bank accounts of 8.55 lakh farmers across the Union Territory, including 85,418 women farmers, via a virtual ceremony held at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi.

From Jammu and Kashmir, Agriculture Minister Javed Ahmad Dar, public representatives, and farmers participated online.

This disbursement marks a continuation of the government’s support, with a total of ₹4,052 crore already transferred to J&K farmers under the PM-Kisan scheme so far.
